Shelter Harbor Golf Club Names Gerard O’Callaghan General Manager

Dublin, Ireland native to oversee operations at the prestigious Rhode Island club

Gerard O’Callaghan has been named General Manager of the Shelter Harbor Golf Club, the #2 rated golf club in Rhode Island.  In his new position, Mr. O’Callaghan will be responsible for overseeing all facets of the Club’s daily operations, which includes an 18-hole golf course, 9-hole par-3 course, 2 guest cottages, and a 44,000 square foot clubhouse with dining and fitness facilities.

 

Prior to joining Shelter Harbor, Mr. O’Callaghan had served since 2003 as General Manager at the Vineyard Golf Club in Edgartown, Mass, a prestigious private club located on Martha’s Vineyard.  Prior to his arrival at the Vineyard Club, Mr. O’Callaghan spent seven years as the General Manager of The Lanam Club in Andover, Mass, a 50-year-old member owned private business / dining club.  A native of Dublin, Ireland, Mr. O’Callaghan graduated with a B.S. in Business Management from Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland, in 1994 and earned a Higher Diploma in Hotel and Catering Management, from Dublin College of Catering, Dublin, Ireland, in 1994.
