Jim Furyk’s double-bogey at the par-3, 15th ended his streak of bogey-free holes at 40. Furyk had made only one hiccup in this event, a bogey-5 on the par-4, 10th hole during the opening round.

Colin Montgomerie has rebounded nicely after an opening-day 80. Monty has bounced back with rounds of 67-69 and stands at even-par 216 after 54 holes. Montgomerie had the only eagle of the day, at the par-5, 11th hole.

The easiest hole continues to be the 522-yard, 11th hole. The par-5 has yet to see a single over-par score recorded there. Over the first 54 holes, there have been 3 eagles, 26 birdies and 19 pars – resulting in a scoring average of 4.333.
Tiger Woods is making his ninth start in this event and he has posted above-par scores in only three of 35 total rounds. Woods’ only above-par scores were a 4-over 76 in the final round in 1999, a third-round 74 in 2001 and a final-day 73 in 2005.
Tiger Woods owns a six-stroke lead after 54 holes, matching the largest 54-hole lead in tournament history. Padraig Harrington also led by six in 2002. Harrington shot a final-day 71 and won by two shots.
