Fred Couples, who made the cut on the number on Saturday, moves into second all-time on the tournament’s cuts made list with 22, two behind leader Peter Jacobsen (24).

Defending champion Charley Hoffman posted a 9-under 63 at The Classic Club to move to 14-under 274, but he’ll enter the final round 10 strokes behind Justin Leonard. Last year, Hoffman came from four strokes back to win in a playoff over John Rollins.

Anthony Kim fired a 6-under 66 at La Quinta Country Club on Saturday and is at 19-under 269, four strokes behind Justin Leonard. Kim, who is 22 years old, could become the youngest winner of the event with a victory on Sunday. Jack Nicklaus is the youngest winner when he won the BHCC at the age of 23.

Anthony Kim opened today’s fourth round by shooting a 6-under 30 over his first nine holes.  It’s the best front or back nine posted by Kim in his PGA TOUR career.  Kim’s previous best had been two 5-under par efforts; round one at the 2007 Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial and round four at the 2007 Nissan Open.
